» ENCOUNTERS Mardi Gras     |     22 February 2004     |     Lyndsey We waited until 9 and finally the Bacchus parade started. Elijah's float was first wow he looked good! He was in all gold and look so hot!  So when he came around the first time he didn't see us and we were like "No! Unacceptable" and since we were in the middle of the center we ran to the other side, when Elijah came around that time he finally looked. Me and Megan both caught things he was throwing out Yes! So we went back to where we originally started out and he came around a second time! Me and Megan blew him kisses and he looked at me and then blew Megan a kiss. We got a pic of that thankfully. So, we once again ran to the other side and blew him more kisses. This time he bent down on his platform look straight at us and blew us several kisses. We were both like "We love you Elijah" and he replied "I love you too!" It was so awesome. So the parade continued and I got a lot of beads but our energy was wearing out. Then one of the security guards came up to us. Earlier that night we had given him a camera to take pics of Elijah at his table because we would not be able to go close enough.  So he comes back to us and says "I got a few good close pics of him and then the camera ran out of film, but I got two stage pass for you two" I was like "What" Megan wasn't paying attention so she was like"What?" So he gives us the two arm bands and leads us to the stage, we were so excited, So when we got there Elijah came down to the steps and shook our hands and talked for less than a minute and he let us take pictures of him, he was nice. Then after I got my pictures I told Megan I was going to get out of the mess of people. I took a few steps back and saw Megan was getting her arm band signed by Elijah! What no fair! I ran back up there but he left Damnit! We were going to leave and then I told Megan "No I am not leaving this stage until I get his autograph!" So we waited. Well it was inevitable that Elijah was not coming down again, so I was trying to get someone to take my wristband up there for me but people suck! So I guess I got an attitude with this guy who said he was going to take my stage pass up there and then didn't, so I  turned around to talk to Megan. I was very unhappy and then someone stood next to me and the guy who wouldn't take my pass randomly said "hey kiss him" I was very confused and I turned around and there was Dominic Monaghan. Holy crap! It first took me a moment and a double take to realize who he was, he was touching my arm and looking at me. So when I turned Dom looked at me *and stared into my eyes! LoL* and he leaned over and kissed me on the lips. Wow that was the most amazing thing of my life! After the kiss I said "Thank you" and he hugged me and said "your sweet" then my friend finally realize who I was kissing had was like "Hey, Hey!" And he pointed at her and was like "Hey!" and he hugged her and kissed her on the cheek. Wow then he went up to the stage to see Elijah. Then I waited until he wasn't talking to someone and I called hi name and he turned around and came and stood in from of me and Megan and we started talking. I felt special because when he first got there me and Megan were the first people he talked to. So we started talking about the usual stuff. "how are you" and things like that. Then I asked him for an autograph he asked if I had a pen and I told him no and Megan finally spoke (She only said two things the entire hour) and said "Elijah has one!" So Dom went and stole Elijah's pen. He signed Mine and Megan's wristband and he was so nice. Then we talked to him for about 10 or more minutes and told him we had no film because we had used it all on Elijah cause neither of us knew Dom would actually be at the Bacchus show! He laughed at us and told us that was alright. So I shook his hand and told him it was a pleasure meeting him and how much of a great actor he was and he was just so nice, and we finally went back to our table. And like the smart people we are, we realized we had another role of film in my purse, so yea we reloaded and went back to the stage. So once again I waited until he was not talking to someone and said  "Hey Dom! We got film!" is what I said to him. He looked at me and smiled really big and was like "OK!" Really excitedly and bounced over to us (Literally bounced!) We got a guy to take a picture of Megan, Dom and myself and it was so good. We talked for longer before he went over to talk to Elijah and other people. I took a few more random shot of him and then it was about 1:15 ish in the morning and I finally got a lady to take my wrist band to Elijah! Success! He couldn't find the pen because Dom had taken it from him earlier to sign mine in the first place! Well he finally got another one and he wrote ‘Elijah' in Elvish and then he kissed the wristband and I got it back, that was so nice of him. So me and Megan went back to Dom and we did more talking and then Dom started dancing and I took more pics of him, it was hilarious. But Finally we really had to go. Another handshake and we were gone.  Best night of my life.
